manele manelele (singular: manea) sau muzica de manele constituie un gen muzical, originar înManele Manelele (singular: manea) sau muzica de manele constituie un gen muzical, originar în comunităţile etnice de romi din România, are influenţe din muzica greacă, turcă, arabă şi sârbă, a devenit ulterior un gen muzical popular în spaţiul vorbitorilor de limbă română. În România există un număr semnificativ de ascultători ai acestui gen de muzică, apreciat în special de tineri, cu predilecţie în zonele rurale şi în cartierele urbane sărace. Fenomenul este însă prezent şi în Bulgaria (bulg. „chalga”), Serbia (sârb. „turbo-folk”), Albania (alban. „tallava”), Grecia (grec. „laďká”) şi în Turcia (turc. „arabesk”) Istorie Referinţe la genul manelelor apar în texte româneşti care datează încă din secolul al XIX-lea, în timpul perioadei suzeranităţii turceşti peste principatele române. Însa manelele vechi, ce fac parte din folclorul românesc, nu au nicio legatură cu manelele actuale. Desi au acelaşi ritm inconfundabil, diferă enorm ornamentarea melodică, universul liric şi stilul de aranjament instrumental, cele vechi fiind interpretate de taraf tradiţional, iar cele noi sunt adaptări cu instrumente moderne sau mixaje după piese turceşti sau arăbeşti, preluate de cele mai multe ori ilegal. Una din cele mai cunoscute manele de tip vechi este "Şaraiman şi şaraiman" a interpretei de muzică lăutărească autentică Romica Puceanu. Manelele ei sunt considerate de criticii de folclor ca făcând parte din capodoperele folclorului românesc, însă cele actuale sunt criticate de intelectualitate pentru lipsa de originalitate, iar versurile şi aranjamentele instrumentale sunt catalogate ca fiind de prost gust. Nu se poate vorbi de manelele noi ca fiind o evoluţie firească a celor vechi, având in vedere diferenţele de natură stilistică, cât şi faptul că primele manele de la începutul anilor 1990 erau copii ale unor piese turceşti si arăbeşti cu versuri adaptate în limba română. Sursă Manelele româneşti actuale îşi găsesc originea în anii 1980 şi 1990 când apăreau ca traduceri sau imitaţii ale cântecelor turceşti şi arabe, iniţial în zona cartierului Ferentari din Bucureşti. Caracteristici În general, melodiile au ca subiect banii, maşinile, duşmanii şi femeile, versurile sunt în mare parte simple, iar uneori pot conţine şi un limbaj licenţios. Interpreţii de manele îşi aleg pseudonime hiperbolizante, de exemplu Adrian Minune sau Sorin Copilul de Aur, sau nume prin care scot în evidenţă localităţile de origine, Gabi de la Oradea sau Adi de la Vâlcea. Nu întotdeauna interpreţii de manele au pseudonime, uneori îşi folosesc numele real (parţial, cum ar fi: Florin Salam, Nicolae Guţă (Nicolae Linguraru), Vali Vijelie) sau complet, ca Mihai Priescu. În domeniul vestimentar, interpreţii de manele au o caracteristică proprie, îmbrăcămintea lor, este formată deseori din pantaloni strâmţi, tricouri strâmte, pantofi cu vârf alungit sau încălţăminte de marcă şi bijuterii. Opinia publică Ascultătorii manelelor la concert, cu pancartăÎn România, manelele sunt considerate de o parte a populaţiei o formă de subcultură. O astfel de poziţie este adoptată şi de o parte a intelectualităţii din România. Cu toate acestea, se estimează că marea majoritate a populaţiei, între 80% şi 90% ascultă manele cel puţin ocazional. Un sondaj efectuat de CURS în colaborare cu „Centrul de Studii Media si Noi Tehnologii de Comunicare” pentru Consiliul Naţional al Audiovizualului a relevat faptul că 32,8% dintre elevii încluşi în categoria de vârstă 11-14 ani şi 21,9% dintre cei din categoria 15-18 ani au ca gen preferat de muzică manelele. Omul de afaceri Silviu Prigoană, fondatorul primului canal exclusiv informativ din România (Realitatea TV) a lansat în februarie 2005 Taraf TV, o televiziune specializată pe acest segment muzical. Canalul este distribuit prin majoritatea reţelelor de cablu din România, dar este disponibil şi în pachetele unui număr mare de societăţi de cablu din Republica Moldova. În Serbia, canalul poate fi recepţionat prin platforma DTH Digi TV în pachetul extra de canale în limba română. Canalul are şi un corespondent radiofonic, Taraf FM. Manelele sunt promovate de mai multe posturi de televiziune printre care ProTV, OTV si Antena 1, unde maneliştii au fost invitaţi în diverse emisiuni de divertisment. În ciuda succesului de care se bucură în România, manelele nu au fost acceptate spre a reprezenta ţara în concursuri internaţionale ca Eurovision. Promovare Promovarea cea mai semnificativă este facută de postul de televiziune Taraf TV, specializat aproape exclusiv în difuzarea de videoclipuri ale interpreţilor de manele, după cum sugerează şi programul postului de televiziune: „Printre emisiunile care vor fi difuzate pe Taraf TV se numară programe de muzică populară, dar şi de manele”. De asemenea, o promovare importantă se remarcă şi din partea postului de televiziune OTV sau în trecut Pro TV. Componentii trupei sunt Dragos "Puya" Gardescu si Tudor Sisu. La cererea celor de la BUG, Puia a aparut ca solist in piesa “Pina cind moartea ne va desparti”, melodie care s-a bucurat de un imens succes. La Familia si-a creionat un stil propriu si au inceput sa se diferentieze tot mai mult de trupele de gen existente pe piata. La Familia au demonstrat ca nu e nevoie sa renunti la ceea ce ti-ai propus initial, sa sacrifici din calitate in favoarea popularitatii, ca sa obtii recorduri de vanzari. Ba dimpotriva. "Baieti de cartier" - primul album, a fost un fel de semnal de alarma. Puya si Sisu sunt definitiv consacrati mai ales printr-un videoclip impresionant pentru piesa "Tupeu de borfas". Un an mai tarziu, in 1998, vine confirmarea: "Nicaieri nu-i ca acasa". Saltul calitativ se observa inca de la prima ascultare: negative bine lucrate, versuri puternice, colaborari inspirate (Mihai si Laurentiu de la 3SE, Marijuana, BUG Mafia, fireste). Este albumul pe care nu numai iubitorii stilului rap sau fanii La Familia il asteptau, iar asta o spunem pentru ca aici se intalnesc: un rap de exceptie (pe care La Familia a stiut sa-l "traduca" intr-o forma accesibila tuturor, mentinandu-i in acelasi timp caracterul specific) si versuri care merg direct la tinta, care inca de la prima ascultare isi ating scopul: dau de gandit! La Familia a lansat si maxi-single-ul "Dumnezeu e baiat de cartier( oare?)". Pe langa piesa cu acelasi titlu, acesta mai contine "Nimic de pierdut" unde Puya si Sisu il au alaturi pe Daddy Caddy de la BUG Mafia si "Unii nu inteleg" piesa cantata alaturi de Directia 5 si Catalina. Despre piesa care da titlul maxi-single-ului membrii trupei spun: "Dumnezeu a fost baiat de cartier pentru noi, ne-a ajutat sa reusim... oare va face la fel si pentru ceilalti tovarasi ai nostri care se zbat si inceara sa realizeze ceva? De aici vine intrebarea din titlul piesei." La "Bine ai venit in Paradis" colaboreaza cu Dan Armeanca si cu Alice, fosta stea a Scolii Vedetelor. "Probleme de familie" ramane, fara doar si poate, piesa de rezistenta a albumului. "Familiarizeaza-te" este putin diferit de celelalte albume pentru ca 'vorbeste' despre evenimente ce se petrec la noi in tara si nu numai in cartierul Salajan. Iata ce spune Puya despre "La familia": cind vorbesti de Hip-Hop in Romania te gindesti automat la cartier, la strada . Fie ca unii accepta sau nu asta, succesul Hip-Hop-ului in Romania a inceput cu muzica de cartier, cu gangsta rap. Pina ca bagabontii de pe la periferia oraselor sa inceapa sa-si spuna “baieti de cartier”, lumea era interesata de cei doi pusti din Balta-Alba Salajan Sisu si Puya. Chiar inainte de “Baieti de Cartier”, in '97 aveau deja concerte in toata tara cantand in deschiderea show-urilor B.U.G Mafia care aveau un imens succescu single-ul “Pina cind moartea ne va desparti" unde Puya canta toate cele 3 strofe. Cu o industrie muzicala in fasa si fara nici un fel de televiziune muzicala sau clipuri, "La Familia" si-a facut un nume printre fanii muzicii Hip-Hop si nu numai Sisu, crescut doar de mama, si Puya, cel mai mic dintre 4 frati nascuti intr-o familie modesta, erau obisnuiti cu legile nescrise ale strazii pe care mai tirziu le-au pus in practica in lumea show-biz-ului aplicand tupeul de borfas oriunde era nevoie. In 98 "Nicaieri nu-i ca Acasa" a fost unul dintre cele mai vindute albume in Romania iar videoclipul piesei "Tupeu de Borfas" a fost timp de citeva luni in havey rotation pe Atomic.Atunci era ceva sa obtii havey rotation nu ca acum unde si cei mai penali artisti ajung sa fie difuzati non-stop.Atitudinea pur gangsta si textele de strada erau dovada ca baietii stiau foarte bine despre ce vorbeau, nu copiau versuri din Hip-Hopul american, era ceva care reprezenta 100% viata de cartier din Romania. Piesa era un sut in fund pentru toti cei care imparteau lumea Hip-Hopului in Est si Vest si pana la urma asta nu a ramas doar in versuri.'99 un an negru pentru cartierele Bucurestiului a fost transformarea Romaniei din tara de tranzit a heroinei in tara consumatoare. Multi au cazut victime mortii albe care tolerata de lumea politica se raspandea cu viteza luminii, de asta in 2004 este cel mai consumat drog in Romania. Sisu, ca multi altii, cade victima tentatiei ba chiar in '99 la lansarea maxi-single-ului “Prinsi in Joc” cu Brugner, trupele D.I.A.S. au prima tentativa de a-l aresta sub acuzatia de trafic, insa la aparitia urgenta a avocatului pleaca cu coada intre picioare. 2000 ”Ca la Noi” se vinde foarte bine, iar hitul “Vorbe” se aude cantind de prin toate masinile, clipul fiind inspirat din cursele ilegale de masini din Salajan. Urmeaza o perioada lipsita de hituri pentru La Familia timp in care Sisu si Puya revin la vechile preocupari dinainte de “Tupeu de Borfas”, viata de strada. Totusi iese pe piata albumul “Familiarizeaza-te” care o introduce o noua artista Hip-Hop Honey.Dupa o lunga vacanta in Spania, noul El Dorado al romanilor plecati sa faca bani, Sisu si Puya revin in 2003 cu “Punct si de la Capat”. "Zi de zi" a fost interzis de C.N.A la numai 3 saptamini de la aparitie si daca asta nu era tot, in octombrie 2003 Sisu a fost arestat si condamnat 5 luni mai tarziu la 3 ani inchisoare sub acuzatia de consum si trafic de droguri de mare risc. Povestea insa continua orice s-ar intimpla pentru ca ce nu te doboara te face mai puternic iar La Familia sunt baietii care o pot lua de la capat oricind indiferent de barierele care le au in fata...
